How do you like to carry your board when not riding it? Has anyone used any board bags, backpacks, slings or anything like that that work well?

I tend to pull mine behind me like a suitcase :p

I have the backpack to attach it to the back but hardly ever use it that way. Was useful in subway tho.

For car boardcover is wicked!! as it no risk of scratching anything with the griptape.

For protection wise best thing i seen was like a keyboard case it fitted it. :punch::punch::thumbsup::beers:

How many bags you got there dude! You got boards or bodies in those :p

I think Mat Glow Ball has used a few different bags.

I tend to pull mine behind me like a suitcase too, occasionally heaving it up under my arm when making my way onto the train or through train stations.

The carbons are real beasts though. I think I need to hit the gym!

I'm hoping perhaps they'll eventually release a super lightweight commuter boards that's only about 5/6kg, similar to the boosted that I can easily jump on and off the busses, rush hour trains, and haul around inside buildings comfortably.

  5. Where do I get one of those bags!?

    Depends on distance traveled.
In a car with board cover on it to stop grip tape scratching stuff.
When the distance is walkable, I tend to ride it if possible, otherwise if riding is not permitted I tend to just pull it behind me using the motor or back truck.
The motor can get quite warm, so in the winter/colder months the motor acts like a hand warmer. When it gets a bit too warm I just use the trucks.
Alternatively, you can tie something to the front and back trucks and then carry it using that temporary shoulder strap. I used an old hooded top I was wearing. Worked just fine.
For shifting two boards, have seen a board being ridden whilst the rider was wearing a evolve backpack with a board attached to that.

  9. The Evolve backpack looks huge. I have a Vans skate bag which I hope will hold my Bamboo GT. Not tested yet. When will the Evolve bag be available in the store again?

Are those the GT specific board covers or the Gen 2? I don't think Evolve USA has the GT board covers yet.

I only got the new ones after when the GT's come out. Before they was string ties on Gen2 covers now they are all elastic round the sides.

Could I confirm if those any the Carbon one is covering the Carbon GT? I want to make sure they fit well for my board if I pick one up for travel in the car.

    Thanks.

Both are Carbon GT's, the one at front is the old one, at back is new cover.as you can see its more of a tighter fit due to the elastic round the sides, does the job and no hassle of tying strings but old prob looks nicer. :p The Bamboo one has Bamboo series and logo on front.

FYI I heard from Evolve that they are still working on the GT series deck covers and hope to have them shipping soon.

Keep your eyes out for any good bags and carry ideas.
