Difference in spare parts cost...

I agree it seems silly that something made in Britain is more expensive, but in general I've given up trying to compare the US price of anything to the same item in the UK.

The iPhone is about £100 more expensive this year than it was last year thanks to Brexit and fluctuations in the pound.

You also need to remember that prices on the US site exclude taxes, whereas the UK price includes taxes.

Add 20% VAT to the us price and you're up $36, narrowing the gap to less than $6 difference.

Add the rip off Britain tax to that and you're just about even

 

I think there is a mistake on the UK website. Belt for GT is £25 avail here: Gates Belt - made in UK

Ref gates man it's a messed up world! So they are a UK company brought by a US company. You can't buy the belts direct from the UK arm. You have to buy them from the US. So the belts are made in UK shipped over to the US and then you have to get them shipped back over to UK again! I kid you not!

 

Evolve don't get their belts that way. I was just saying if you wanted to get off gates yourself.

The link i added there is a dropdown for GT option. I will check with Mark but I think it's a mistake the the other page and also I see that's for 38T gear not the regular street belt.
