It seems a lot of the old school Bamboo riders haven't made their way on to the forum yet :joy: Or had a need to post in this particular category.

I feel 2017 will be the year of the GT (and beyond?!), so probably not too much old school Bamboo posting.

Yours may be the first and last thread in this forum. I'm considering consolidating some of the Evolve forums and differentiating threads using prefix's instead, which can then be filtered. I've still got a few technical issues I want to sort and test first before doing it though.

Maybe a Single motor out the back (Carbon, Bamboo Gen2) single motor forward (pintail, snubnose et al) and a GT section?

Though, I think the Gen2 Bamboo boards might be seeing some heavier modding due to price drops. Hopefully battery mods ;)

Interesting thought. I never realised the pintails et al were motor forward, had to google for some pics.

You could be right about the willingness of people to mod their boards as the new ones come out and the value and warranty drops away for the old ones. Will be neat to see what some people get up modding the old decks with the latest battery tech

I would like to see if I could up grade my old gen 2 board.
Evolve pretty much steers me to a GT with no upgrade options,But that seems a waste.
I think when I bought they were talking about the benefits of the 750 watt motor and all,now they have gone to a 3000 watt beast (they abandoned the philosophy they sold me
    )and have left us behind.
I would like the option to get a 1500 watt version.I moved to where I have hills and just cant get up as fast as I would like.

If you're riding AT, you can switch to 7 inch tires and it'll climb a little better at the expense of some top speed. Might be worth trying out *shrug*

I am looking at a battery and motor upgrade,to something around 2000 watts.
I really like the board and wheels bit 750 wats has no climbing ability.

Battery upgrade seems relatively easy, though, not cheap. I'd definitely be interested in anything you find out about the motor, but I think it's much more involved to upgrade. Gearing changes I have a pretty good grasp on, and aren't /too/

Way more adventurous than me right now! Definitely want to see what you end up with :D

Speaking of which, do you know many of the specs on the stock motor? All I figure out is it's got a 10mm output shaft, that is sometimes slotted for a keyway, and sometimes just flat on one side. . . and I think it's 260 or 290kv? (can't remember. . . but one of my boards has it as part of a part number on a sticker. . . )

Try clicking on that link and then you can find the respective dealer for parts specs .

I’ve recently bought a tiny log cabin in some remote part of Norway - where there is endless kilometres of twisting dirt/gravel roads in relatively flat woodlands (but also with small hills). I really wanna use my Gen 2 street board on those roads but need a conversion kit. Can’t find one! (out of production). Got some advice on how to make a conversion using individual parts - but I’m still looking for a complete kit. I’ll be happy for any suggestions on where to find one.
