  3. Style shmyle, anyone criticizes you, just make eye contact and high-beam them.

  4. Went for a spin tonight, rode with a guy who has the 'shredlights' installed back and front. Good lights / robust, but still pretty clear the higher up the light, the better. Think helmet mount is the way to go.

  6. Who knew that quality of light would be a speed restriction!.. Had to balance up the risk/reward of going fast... or copping it sweet via a honky nut on the path. Fun fact also... shredlights mounted on the back of a board may blind any riders who are behind you (ie: me in this case!)

Do you mean the shredlights in the posted you quoted me on? Or the ones I got off ebay?

I've not tested any shredlights yet.

The mount for the front lights I got off ebay broke when bombing it down the street last week :sob:

The mount shattered, flashlight took a tumble, but the light itself still works. Need to see if I can get a new mount for it, could have done with it during my dusky spring ride this evening.

I think it might have perhaps happened because the trucks aren't cylindrical, so when tightening the mount around them it applies pressures are 4 points against it from each edge of the truck, instead of distributing the weight.

Yes the shredlights. I really like the look and they seem bright but it sounds like there mounts might be the week link.

  12. Any concern about the 18650 batteries Nick? Did yours come w/ a stand-alone charger or the unit itself is the charger?

How long do you get out of one charge? Ha, 20 questions, my bad. I've emailed the seller on eBay also but they'll give me BS answers.

The charger that they come with plugs into the battery pack. I'm yet to hit the limit but I have had them running for over 4 hours no problems. I don't think you can beat them for the price.

  14. Excellent, cheers. Will have to tee up a night ride when you're next in Perth (+ when my eBay orders arrives!)

Yeah sure thing, night riding is the best.

  16. Wow, my headlamp arrived from eBay today, that ride just now was the dogs bollocks. Although there's something to be said for 'flying blind' at night.. :)

Great idea for the helmet mounted one. Quite easy to thread the side straps through the helmet vents.
