  1. Some of you might know that there are some really good carrying bag options out there, but they're all pretty pricey. $130+ for a Board Bag is a lot, maybe too much. I don't need anything too fancy, I just wanted a basic bag that isn't some crazy price. So I found a cheaper option for about $20 on Amazon.

    The dimensions are
    (47.64 x 17.32 x 5.51)" / (121 x 44 x 14)cm (L x W x H)

This is technically a keyboard bag. It doesn't have sufficient padding for travel by itself, but there are options out there like this that you could fix into place and cut to shape

For my uses, I'm not going to be traveling with it. I'm not gonna take it on an airplane. I just want a convenient way to store it when it's not hanging up on my wall. Mainly just for transport in my car so it doesn't get banged up.

Here are some pictures of the bag

As you can see, there isn't a lot of padding. There's a thin layer on top and bottom, but nothing to cushion on the sides. This is where I'll eventually put padding in myself.

The board itself in the bag. As you can see, there is plenty of room for the board and just about anything else I wanna throw in there. Lots of room to insert padding. Probably not technically big enough for AT wheels according to the specs, but the bag is pretty long (longer than the board) so that might allow it to fit AT wheels and shorten the length overall.

    Yes, that is my blood

The bag sealed up. The handles are OK, Strong enough but I can't imagine they'd last forever. It doesn't have an arm strap or backpack straps. Notice the two pockets on this side, one is a perfect size for the charger, and the other could hold tools, etc

This is still pretty new, so I don't know how well it'll hold up yet. I'll put it to use and update this thread if I have any issues, although it seems durable enough already.

Great alternative for cheap. Very good idea. Does it fit with AT wheels on?

I mentioned in the OP that the dimensions aren't technically large enough, but the bag itself is very long. I don't have AT wheels to try it with but I'd be willing to bet that they would fit. The bag has some flex and I bet it could fit the extra 3 inches.

Top idea Lex. Some good suggestions for a budget board bag.

While I agree it's worth paying to protect your investment, it does often seem silly how much a bit of padding can cost in the form of a 'specially made board bag'.
