How many km are you getting out of your tyres?

    20170227_160008.jpg I ride about once a week. Had my gen2 for 9 months. Roughly 600km and all 4 tyres are bald and 1 of them is down to the inner liner. This is the mbs 8 inch roadies. If I were a daily user I'd be replacing tyres every 2 months. I know mbs probably didn't have electric skateboards in mind when designing their tyres but I just want to know what tyres last the longest and what wears quickly.

    How many km are you getting out of the evolve/ trampa/ mbs tyres?

    Hey guys I have the standard AT tyres and I have already clocked up 600km and they still look pretty new. Every time I ride I check the pressures 45 psi. o I do have some nitrogen in them as well that helps keep consistant pressure. I ride 46km 4 days a week :)

    That tire is what is referred to as "corded" in track talk. My original Evolve set are probably half way there after ~20 charge cycles, each averaging ~6-7 miles. I'd guess at this rate, I'll get 250-300 miles out of a set, one rotation, with a 215lb rider riding fairly aggressive. I'm not commuting, I'm carving for fun (no snowboard trip this year). Is there a odometer function on the carbon and bamboo?

    Because I commute I know the distance 46km round trip I have just been adding up my km. There is no collective odometer as yet it resets on your remote when you turn your board off. I must admit I'm not carving much as I need distance and hill climbing.:)

    46km commute on your board is insane Obie1!

    I'd have a tough time managing a 46km commute on the train, where I can sip a cup of coffee and enjoy a podcast along the way :p

    Yeh every one at work thinks I'm crazy but they all ask me about the board they do really like it. I now listen to my pod casts on my bluetooth head phones know that I have isolated my interference problems. I spend over an hour in traffic some times it only takes me one hour and 15min to ride and I love it:}

    I have had the police look at me a few times, I have found 3 different rules in the QLD road rules. I don't think they know much about them yet but they are having a good look...... Hope they don't ever can it, would be a real shame if they did.

    Aye, as long as you're not being a menace on the board I can't imagine them giving you too much trouble. It's similar in the UK, technically I believe they can be seized, but most coppers wouldn't dream of it unless you were going around mugging people on one.

    Just got to keep being a good representation of the the type of people who ride, until it becomes more mainstream and accepted legally.

    I agree, I give way to pedestrians I keep out the way of traffic. I had a guy from work say to me the other week his wife rang him saying, you should this guy riding this board flying along the foot path with a hemet on. She thought he would like it. He said yeh thats they guy from work... Had to be there, but strange what people notice and lots of them. :}
