Having had my Carbon GT AT for a week now I'm getting a bit more used to braking hard when I need too. I have noticed if I do this I get a clicking sound like the drive belts are slipping over the teeth (taht is what I am assuning anyway). Does anyone know, one if you can tighten them and two, if this would solve the problem.

Need to tighten up, 4 motor screws under the belt cover. Need to take wheel off. Undo them a bit pull motor tight with gear and belt attached and do up whilst pulling tight.

Thanks Andy. I thought that might be the case. Getting a bit more confident with my riding now. Braking hard seems easier now Lol

I've noticed this on my board too. It only happens when i have the AT kit installed. The motors are back all that way at max adjustments on both sides. I am thinking the increased force of stopping with AT tires causes belt slip.

I haven't tightened my belts as yet. It isn't happening all the time only when I brake sharply. Went down a 1 in 4 Hill and braked all the way down without an issue. So I am thinking it is only on really hard braking. So no great concerns

Are you still having problems? Did you manage to fix it?

Also check all screws to see if the motorplate still is mounted correctly. I had the clicking sound and first looked at the belt but also found out my motorplate had room to wiggle, this also caused some noises.

I haven't adjusted anything as yet. It only happens occasionally to be honest. So I am just living with it.

I haven't been able to fix this problem. I think the wheel pulley for the AT kit is too large and not enough of the teeth engage with the drive pulley.

I guess this could be the case. I actually think the pressure on the belt to hold in the teeth is immense when you brake and it just can't cope. I'm not to worried to be honest. I have tried braking hard and it is too much for me to stay on the board. I normally end up jumping off and running like Roadrunner or on the ground. LOL

Hey Andy sorry to bother you but can you make a video on this or describe it step by step? It would be much appreciated :)

Think this will help as it involves the step to tighten the belt. You are only not changing wheels of course.

What about cleaning the board? I use a warp cloth with a bit of soap but the grip tape keeps eating it away haha. Any other ideas?

Ive adjusted the belt multiple times, its not a belt tension issue.

Maybe your belt is stretched/damaged then, my mate had same issue and insisted the belt was ok and didnt look broken but when he swapped for a new one it was fixed. If you post a pic of your motor nuts could tell you if looks adjusted right

I have 6 different belts and it happens with all of them. The drive gears are worn out. I have steel ones on the way
