    Hello Guys, and Gals

I may be able to get some 97mm Flywheel Clones manufactured, I'm just trying to get a gauge to see if it is worth getting them made. Would anyone be interested in buying a set? They would look something like this. Different colors may be an option. 75a Durometer.

I would be looking at selling them for around $60 Australian a set. + postage. I live in Australia so keep that in mind.

Would have 25 sets all up.

I would be interested but do have some questions:

    1. How do they stack up against the original ones as they have a good track record
    2. Are they an exact match so it will be an easy setup without having to use tools to get them to fit?
    3. Colors would be nice like black/red
    4. What are the expected shipping cost to Europe (Netherlands) around 25 AUS?

    I
I am looking into all of that, hopefully they are the same but information from the manufacturer is pretty limited and lacking. If i don't get a ton of interest I won't be perusing it. I can definitely get the but i don't want to be stuck with 100 wheels i cant shift haha.

see how the thread goes i suppose. Obviously i can't guarantee quality it's just on a conversation basis from a Chinese manufacturer...

The main reason I've been looking is i cant find for the life of my anywhere to buy clones as a single set.

If anyone does know where to get any or has links please hit me up!

    Thanks for the reply mate.

Completely clear...I would at least request 1-2 samples from the manufacturer to make sure you can test them before ordering a batch.

I will be asking that question today.
Hopefully I can get a set sent.

    Will keep you updated.

On a side note. I've heard that Abec 11 no longer produce 97mm flywheels in 75a. Not sure how accurate that is.

Really? Isn't that the one that lots of people really like on here? Or that 97mm, but a different rating?

They look very sexy, would be up for a set if I had a street setup, but I'm AT all the way for now mate.

Feel free to setup a group buy thread in the BST section if you decide to go through with this. Or I can move this one and leave a redirect if you prefer.

Put it wherever you are for mate. They supploer is wanting 250 sets as a minimum order and with no garuntee of quality I can't imagine it going much further!

250 is steep for a first batch especially with no guarantee or any way to test them first......

I don't understand this thread, there are already 97mm clones, 90mm clones, and others dirt cheap and with bearings/spacers for $25 for 4 and in all types of colors. I have run 90mm clones on my GT and they work fine, actually like them allot. The link about the destroyed clone hub was what appears from the earlier clones with a super thin hub, the newer clones have the thicker hub/spokes like the ABEC 11's. If you do run the clones you need a new set of drive gears, then you need to file down the cogs so they fit the spoke of the clone wheel.

Point me in the direction of these dirt cheap clones mate... everywhere i've look they are no longer available.
That was the whole reason behind me buying 25 sets if people were interested. If you can tell me where to get a single set it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

Thanks! Looks like they couldn't find them it appears. I bought mine on eBay for $25 shipped with bearings/spacers. I did a search now and can't find them, so it appears there are times that someone buys a bunch and throws them up on ebay. Also they were on Amazon as well and I can't find them either. Same with the FlyWheels on ebay, zip. If I see them pop up again I'll toss the link up.

No good clones out there so if someone suggest to be able to get some produced for a good price I am interested. Especially with the bad clones out there.

At the end if quality sucks or I need to tweak the wheels to get a fit, I rather pay 130 eur for a known brand.
