    Hola guys.
I have a friend that loves my GT, and he really want to get a El-longboard.
Problem is that he dont have much money, so a GT is not possible, but is there any boards in 500-800 range thats good?
Can you recommend any board please?

And would you bue a new cheap one, or a used good one, if you had this budget?
    Thanks for any tips.

    Cheers :punch:

Indeed....and now I play the waiting game :grinning:

Kickstarter is over, but you can still buy them through their online store.

    BLINK

Earliest shipping is the end of Jan for the cheapest version of their new range.

They're flogging their old Blink Lite for only $250 at the moment though.

    Blink Lite

Not sure if it's any good, there seemed to be a few okay reviews when it came out last summer at about $500 retail originally. You can find some if you google.

It's worth noting that these aren't really longboards though, more electric skateboards. Much shorter wheelbase than the Evolve boards.

Wow man, you have a lot of options.

I would suggest the Yuneec E-Go2 ($569.99) or the Maxfind Dual ($599.99)

Both nothing but positive remarks about and already available on Amazon.

My buddy has a Genesis Tomahawk and loves it.
I have a Yuneec v1 which was awesome for the money until I got tired of the slow speeds and lack of hill climb

    Tomahawk Electric Skateboard - Orange

They advertise 20 mph and 20 mile range but the range thing is way off as usual. I read on a forum that if you hit the power button 7 times it unlocks 25 MPH.

    That said, it's no GT.

Holy boosted board clone! Funny little easter egg too about the speed.

Looks pretty darn good for the price

I'd not heard of them before, they been around long?

Okay, I've just been checking out the Yuneec electric skateboard.

So just to clarify, the Yuneec skateboard seems to be sold by a company called e-go, who is completely unaffiliated with the MASSIVE Yuneec Drone and aerospace company who got £60M worth of investment from Intel last year?

That sounds a bit suspect, riding on the coattails of giants for brand recognition perhaps? Surprised they've not been done for trademark infringement...although if they are both Chinese companies, they probably don't give a ****.

EDIT: Oh wait, so it is Yuneec, the massive drone company!

Sorry, got that completely wrong, their skateboard brand is e-go. I got confused because they don't list the E-Go brand or any kind of skateboard on their product list on the main Yeneec home page. Can't seem to find any other links to it from the main home page either, which is a bit odd.

    However on the e-go site

Stumbled onto this about Yuneec as well.. "We are sourcing the wheels but hope to manufacture everything else in house. Yuneec International is an amazing company, founded by Tian Yu who pioneered electric RC aircraft developments some 15 years ago. Every Horizon Hobby airplane you see is made by Flying Tian. With this factory employing hundreds of people and good cash flow, he decided to build a brand new factory on the outskirts of Shanghai where he could manufacture engines and the e430 electric airplane. As an incredible engineer, entrepreneur, pioneer and just a damn good bloke he pays real attention to detail. A friend of mine said to him Mr. Yu, what you are doing with Electric Aviation is truly unique! That is how the name YUneec came about. The engines that have strong patents are also unique and they are building plenty of different power output versions. As small as a finger nail and as large as a big barrel of beer! In the future, we shall be exploring other areas to utilise the engine and battery technology - e.g. electric outboard engines for dinghies and drones (www.e-drones.com). However, right now the focus is to make the world's best electric skateboards with a range to choose from. The wireless controller is also being developed in house and we have an iOS and MFi agreement with Apple so expect some sexy apps for smartphones as well - an iPhone instrument panel for the e-boards? Watch this space !"

With the backing, is one of the reasons I have them ranked high on my list :/ hate to say it Alex! Even ranked them 1st on my blog post too

Interesting, must be a new market for them if they haven't even updated their main website and their wikipedia page only lists their aircraft as products.

Nice blog post mate, seems like you've managed to highlight a few lesser well known boards there that still deserve a shot for the price. Sounds like you've been a long boarder for quite a while, so some good riding experience behind you to lend credibility to the reviews, nice one :)

hmmm interesting at the gadget show last year the Yuneec drone stand also had what they said was their electric e-go skateboard. So they must be linked in some way. Another side note the owner of the stand brought an Evolve!! ;p;p

Hahaha! No way! I remember browsing all the stands at the gadget show really intently and I'd never even heard of Yuneec.

I was all about the DJI, then I found out on the day (and even more so later on) that apparently Yuneec are massive in the professional drone market. I didn't see their skateboard though. Spoke to the rep for ages about their drone, until my professional photographer friend convinced me not to buy any drone whatsover because the the loops you need to jump through over here to use them legally in the UK.

I think it must be you mate, everyone who encounters you just gets converted to Evolve, definitely a perfect combo of you and the product.

I was all about Boosted, then I met you and I was like, "I'll take one Evolve please, good sir!"

Then you talked the Yuneec rep and he takes one off you, then you talk to the Inboard rep and convince them too :joy::joy:

    Absolutely crazy ;p:beers::metal:

Yea there seems to be some cross pollination between drones and eboards - I wouldn't rule out DJI getting in to the eboard - segway - one wheel market at some point and they must have huge reserves of cash - billions for future dev - an ev down the road maybe ??

I agree, definitely a crossover category.

All the R&D on electric motors and wireless communication tech lends itself incredibly well towards electric skateboards...

GoPro could even get in on the action, although their drone was a flop, so I'd be more interested to check out a DJI skateboard.
