I'm starting to see a pattern emerging here, suuuure, it was a large rodent that made you fall ;)

Pretty sure they're little LED lights.

tmp_14783-IMG_20161209_173903953924018.jpg I added a Blitzu LED last night in addition to the Thunderbolt that I've had on it. The TB makes you easily seen, but by itself it doesn't light up ahead of you much at all.

I'm sure some of you have it and understand. The Blitzu is 180 lumens, twice the TB. While the set up is nothing compared to the set up from the gentleman that started this thread; the Blitzu has helped a fair amount.

Looks great Oldoilere! Got a link to the Blitzu lights so I can check them out?

A helmet-mounted light is critical for night skateboarding. The board lights mainly let others know what's up

neat idea - wonder how far the beam goes - also looks safe to mount on a helmet (if it would fit the size)

    Yeah, that looks pretty sweet.

Not seen anything like that before. Did you order one Mitch?

We've been discussing the cool headlight of the thread, but here's a very bright taillight that I've got on mine also. This will stay solid and blink.

It also will turn red or a pinkish purple. In addition to that, it will strobe between the three. That's a little much though as it's a but disorienting to those that would see it.

I had to modify the strap a bit to get it to work. tmp_28443-IMG_20161211_0942331895677328.jpg

for the front light you really need a short wide beam and a long throw (whats coming up beam) - so two front (one board mounted and one headlamp style) and for the rear any led red flasher seems fine

I think strobe is supposed to be safest in terms of making you visible to car drivers isn't it? The flashing is more likely to get their attention, plus it lengthens the battery life.

Do it! We need a review! :grinning:

Alex, the strobe would make you more visible and make the battery last longer, but it looks so much like a cop car strobe. It's almost overkill, if that could be possible for a skateboard.

Ahh true. A solid colour would be better.

You don't want to get pulled over for impersonating one of those ubiquitous electric skateboard police officers

Ohh, there's a thought. We need to get local bobbies on the beat with these bad boys. You wouldn't get tired in a chase like on foot or a bike. :grinning:

  18. I am the dude that was asking you in your amazon review.
You told me that there is no way to place the Blitzu light in the center of the board, that is a real shame! cause I really wanted the extra light but hate uneven things more than anything haha, maybe 2 of those? one on each side :p

Yes, certainly one on each side. That's what I've done. One of them just happens to be a Thunderbolt LED. Other than the Serfas Thunderbolt, most of the lights are towards biking, and thus have just one strap.

I prefer two light anyway. For the price give one a try (or two).

Agreed it has to be in balance. Either one light centrally or two, one each side of centre. Otherwise might put your balance off. LOL
