    So I tried 97mm today! Firstly I have to say swap over is super easy on the GT, took about 8 mins... Had a decent run on the 97's and loved them on super smooth roads they were amazing carving felt a lot more locked in, handled bumps, cracks and general bad surfaces well and I didn't really notice any issues. They rolled so nicely but had a couple of ground clearance issues on speed bumps etc and missed the no nonsense AT setup, so I am back on AT........ Will run 97mm's in a second if I can find some decent tarmac!

    Id say give it a go to anyone who was in the same boat!

    I can't speak for AT yet, I haven't tried them yet and they are sitting in the box they came in still. As for the 97mm Abec 11 flywheels they are unbeatable for a street setup!

    Here's what my 83mm street wheels that came with my Bamboo GT looked like after three weeks on the rough roads and sidewalks of inner-city Perth;

    Keep in mind I am 105kg rider so those cracks and bumps at speed hit the wheels particularly hard. I've have the 97mm just as long as the 83mm now and they are showing zero signs of wear. They're unbeatable for urban Australia. They can take almost any crack in the sidewalk now, still gotta stop and jump off for the largest ones though. The underside of my board isn't getting nearly as scraped and smashed on steep roadside curbs either. Can't recommend the 97mm enough if you prefer street setup to AT.

    Does anyone have any tips to get the gear off the 97 75a wheel. It's so wedged in there.

    I always use an Allen key between wheel and the edge to lever it off... It is sometimes __really__ tight...

    Yea it gets in there tight. I take an Allan key and push through on multiple spots. This will loosen it up and allow you to pull it off

    So, I have the AT (not 2 in 1) as well and contemplating on the 97s. Evolve seems to be the only ones that have the Abecs 97mm 75a in stock plus I have to order the two 32T drive gears @ $30 each. So just the wheels and drive gears are close to $190 with shipping. This is without belts and bearings. Still worth it?

    If you like street wheels then yes it's worth it. They are so much better than 83s. But I agreee that's a lot dough for wheels
