Yeah same happened to me lol fricking shite way to break something!! :( Would of felt better if was coming off at sppednor sunthink:metal: messed up my World Cup. Evolve have addressed with the updated config on remotes but some people like it how it was with reverse button so can't really please everyone.

The trigger is loose from the start... It's a 4-way potentiometer so it moves left / right / up / down! You think it only moves up/down but it does more. Take the remote apart and you'll see. It can't get any looser than having that darn trigger move on two axis :)

I also don't trust the GT riding with a selfie stick let alone no gear.

Yea I wonder what the idea was with the 4 way trigger - makes me think they adapted it from something else instead of inventing their own from scratch (including the rf side) - that would be a good find - what else this appears in - hmmmmm.

A future software upgrade will allow steering via the remote. :)

Rode the CGT today over an hour, 7.1 miles, and ZERO disconnections. Was a gift from God!

Don't know if it helped, but I did do the latest pairing technique recommendation from Evolve before riding:
    1. Turn on board, let it boot up (remote is off)
    2. Turn on remote, pressing and holding the power button for like 5-7 seconds, let off power button.
    3. Immediately (Before battery % shows) press and hold left button until power % shows on display.
    4. And be sure - do not touch the trigger or move the board during paring, so it correctly establishes its zero point.

Still waiting for the next batch of boards coming in, I hope to try a new motor controller/remote from the latest production batch to see if it rids me of this issue permanently.

Also - not sure if this is relevant or not - but: There is a huge difference in pairing time upon first turning the board on, between my Bamboo GT (working perfectly, older remote) and my CGT (dropouts, new style remote).

If I turn on the remote first, then the board - on the Bamboo, the remote reads the battery % almost instantly after the board powers on. The CGT, however, takes about 6-8 seconds after powering on before the remote reads a battery %. Interesting to know what other owners "boot up pairing" times are.

I made a video of this and sent to Evolve. Again, don't know if it is indicative of my disconnection issue, or if longer pairing times are normal with the new v2 remotes.

My boot up-pair times seem quite fast for my Bamboo GT. A few secs or so.

That is the latest pairing instructions.

My replacement remote arrived (protective sticker on screen so likely not previously used - new) - weather is a bit crap up here right now but hope to pair it up to my board and do a rider report in a few days.

I have noticed the same thing - its like an indicator that its messed up - when ever this happens now - I shut it down - remove any source of outside RF - boot up and try again - if its a fast startup sync and wifi icon / batt state appears I feel more confident about riding it.

and just a reminder - even if the equipment is working perfect - we can still make bad choices with a crappy outcome - another crash (this one on a boosted):

Finally got around and found a box to pack my board in.... shipped it back to Evolve this morning an sent them a confirmation email. I also asked them to look into diagnosing why my left motor is running hotter than the left as well as the rattle I have coming from the rear of my board when riding on rough pavement. I didn't have time to pull off the covers to see if that's where the issue is coming from, however since they have the board and the experts on the build I left it up to them to diagnose and remedy. I'll see what they say about the motors running different temps and push for them to get them to be close to equal as possible.

I do want to say I'm very pleased with how responsive Evolve USA has been regarding to my correspondence.

Crossing my fingers that they can sort out the finicky control / remote action of my board.

So weird... had another 5+ mile ride today.... no dropouts. The remote gods must be smiling on me the last couple rides!

He just purchased it, so probably was the November production batch (same as mine). The frequency of the same problem happening sure lends itself to the theory of a bad batch of transceiver boards, that were in that shipment.

I think its more likely that Nov batch from AUS - but yes me, Wiztecy and EvolveinLA have boards from the US. (I'm in Canada)
I don't think that matters though - pretty sure the video just above is in Europe and Boston the vlogger at top of this page is in AUS (sounds like his was pilot error - went in REV so he was riding with the original remote - this may have been his only issue, but looks like he has had that board for a while from an earlier production date)

The interesting thing will be to see if the latest production run has similar issues or if it was addressed (intentionally or inadvertently from different releases or suppliers of components)

W.Jordan from this posting with the group ride video said in another post that 80% have had remote issues (not sure to what severity)
GT Remotes being able to control more than 1 board at a time, SAFETY MESSAGE!! PLEASE READ

My good luck streak ended today. Short ride - 2 miles or so - 2 disconnections. Did the same pairing technique as before, when it had been perfect.

    Blah.
It's unsafe to take the board up, or down, any significant hills while it's doing this. And I'm afraid to go much above 13-14mph.
Want Evolve to diagnose and fix this. Hoping my new controller and remote will do it.

...its totally random that follows signal interference. If there's little to no interference you're ride is good, if there is interference then you're on a deathride where anything can happen at anytime.

also wanted to add that i have disconnection issues as well on my bamboo gt. I got it first week of November 2016. Usually happens after several miles of riding continuously, last two were in mile 4 and mile 5 were the battery percentage would disappear and show ----- but im still able to control the board (can accelerate and brake). But i did experience at least two times were i had to turn off the board and re-pair as the remote would not work (wont accelerate nor brake).
