Does belt cover rub AT wheels?

i noticed that the belt cover is nothing but millimeters away from the AT wheels. Does this ever rub? It's so close i have to imagine it does. There are times I feel vibrations like it's rubbing but not sure if just general vibrating.

Also, yes I realize that's like 5 posts in a day...

Yes, mine was barely 1mm away and I imagine that under hard cornering it rubs, or has the potential to. I added an extra speed ring to each side to give a little more clearance to solve the problem.

    Can
you provide details on the speed ring. I am such a noobie to this but i would also like to do this. I imagine goes on one side of the bearing? If you can provide details and a link of what you are using that would be great!

Mine rubbed a little bit but has worn down now to the point where it doesn't anymore. The speed ring idea should work..

Hi - I would take a picture but unfortunately I have the street setup on at the moment as I am waiting for a new inner tube to be delivered. So take the wheel off and you will be left with the drive gear and belt attached. Put one / two of the supplied smaller speed rings / washers onto the axel and then replace the wheel - it has the effect of pushing the wheel slightly further away from the wheel cover so you shouldn't get contact between the two. I have the 1st issue of carbon GT boards where more of these speed rings were needed on the drive axels - if you have a later board then you may not need as many (so mine had 4 as standard, now has 5).

No, it does not. If anyone tells you it does, they don't have one!

Is yours positioned within millimeters of the tire?

OK, well I defiantly have a board and either it or the street kit came with a bag of spare screws / speed rings / wheel nuts etc.... did you not get that with yours?

I got all that stuff also with my 2 in 1. Are you really understanding what I said or what I replayed on?

    Th
thats what I'm trying to figure out. They sit so close to the cover I have to imagine it rubs, but I can't tell it's hard to look while riding. I some times feel something that feels like vibrations like they are rubbing but can't tell if that's just the tires becuaae they are tires or if it's the tire rubbing the guard

My guess would be balance of the tires. Lift the back end up and spin'em. Grease on the hubs where the bearing go in could help also. There are vid's on youtube for these problems.

Grease on the hub's I got from Evolve. That is also on youtube.

    Tire rubbing was the question
Look at the grip tape thread and you can see my board.

Ah yea I definitely have that wobble, but wow not sure I'm gonna put in the effort he did. Is that wobble common?

I had this and noticed only 1 belt showed some rub (text on the belt was gone) so I tweaked a little with the cover and now it's fine. You could also grind off a bit to create some extra room.

Don't understand what you mean. Might be my English but I meant with that to remove some of the inner plastic of the cover with a Dremel tool

We have the same kind of GT and I don't understand the problem you are having. Do you have to much air in your tirers? I'm not try to be a **** or anything. Can you post a pic of the problem?
