Thats strange indeed, waranty follows the product, not the owner.

Clearly these issues aren't completely isolated, unfortunately. The fact that it is a serious safety concern and Evolve has yet to address it is truly appalling.

    Hi all,

Had my GT around 3 months now - had some serious cutting out issues when it first arrived - riding on hard flat surfaces was fine but after 5 minutes or less of riding on short grass and the board got seriously hot and died - would cool down for 10 mins and it would give me another few minutes riding at the most. Contacted Mark and Andy from Evolve UK who were really helpful and sent out a new motor controller which along with securing the battery to hold it in place better so it couldn't move and cause connectivity issues at the BMS end fixed the problem. The fault wouldn't have been picked up in QA testing unless they took it off road. Excellent service from Evolve UK.

Hi Guys, I had my board for two days now, and I'm also experiencing terrible cut-outs, at times the board wont even start, my girlfriend said watching me ride "looks like some one learning to drive a manual car for the first time" yeah correct, I'm not having too much fun at the moment.
I have contacted Evolve about this issue, and was told they will speak to the "service department" haven't heard back as yet...

Don't be surprised if the service department tells you it's user error, or "these boards aren't for everyone".

Try to film what's going on or flip the board over and run it for a while without you on it , then you can show evolve the issue , it's probably the same thing that other people are experiencing , which may not be resolved until they change how certain parts are produced

Could well be a loose connection or a dodgy remote. Im sure the Evolve crew will sort it for you :punch::thumbsup:

Do you ride goofy (right foot front)? I do and I have found that my body can very occasionally interfere with the signal if i hold the remote in my right hand. If I keep my hand low it's great. For me these slight cutouts haven't been a big issue but I try to ride NOT on the edge - you have to ride cautiously and be prepared for sudden changes on this board or you'll eat serious excrement sooner or later.

there should be no issue with any style footing you use, as the connection for bluetooth should and does reach at least a few meters, Contact Evolve if you are having any issues, not something that should happen at all.

honestly, using a bluetooth connection that is not 100% accurate and stable even at 1meter or so for a super fast electric skateboard does not sound right, would be nice to get info on exactly what the connection they use it, and what specs it has. ?

SeattleRC51 You mentioned that you have Both Boosted V2 And GT. I Cancelled My V2 Order Due To The Battery Debacle And Ordered A GT That's Yet To Ship. Which Would You say You Prefer Taking Into Account The Issues Both Boards Seem To Be Having?

It is a bit of a tough question as both boards are unique. In terms of pure rideabity I think the evolve GT is the winner. It's so much easier to find sidewalk ramps and maneuver than the Boosted. The boosted is a blast to carve on. I'm not a snowboarder rather a skier, but I would say the boosted feels more like high speed carving on hard groomers, while the evolve feels more like bottomless powder. You will very likely want to tighten the bushings quite a bit before your first ride on the evolve. The ability to go over tracks and road imperfections with the AT setup is really what sets the evolve apart. It might not be a stealth eboard with 7-8" tires, but you will not care after the first sidewalk ramp or rail crossing.

In terms of quality and overall customer experience boosted board is the winner. IMO evolve, while it feels like quality hardware is also much more fragile and finicky. Either way, the customer service is much more likely to be pleasant and excited to take care of their users.

    That's a pretty cool analogy

I'm planning on using it 90% for commuting 6miles round trip every day, over mostly flat bike lanes. I initially loved the thought of Bamboo AT set up but I really don't want to worry about connectivity issues and the potential of being thrown off when all I wanna do is chill and cruise down West Side Highway in NYC at 8am. At the same time I don't wanna worry about boosted smoking out my apt with my kids at home.. Maybe should just wait

I've cycled the battery, fully drained and fully charged it = no more signal cut-outs, for some reason this action has prevented the issue from reoccurring, go figure....

I doubt that battery charging would effect connection issues, these issues can be there one minute and gone the next only to pop up again, if you experience it again, contact Evolve, there are known issues with motor controllers, motors, remotes and so on.

    Hey Mary,
Welcome to the site. I've merged your thread with another cutout thread. It would be worth having a read through it.
Sorry to hear about your fall, make sure you and your brother are always wearing a helmet just in case:thumbsup:
