Old 97mm stock wheel have chunks, can’t decide between the Abec 97mm 74a in black or the green Abec 75a or the New evolve 97mm wheels.

Was thinking of the Abec 97mm 74a in black, but the evolve have more of a contact patch than the Abec 97mm wheels.

    what do you guys think?

I have the 107mm abec, rather enjoy the 97mm more

  2. I'm rolling on the Abec 11 74a 97's! Love them. Perfect medium between ride comfort, grip and hard enough for long rides with little battery consumption!

Hey coalmonkey, I have a set of the evolve 97 stone grinds, abec 97s (black).. both have less than 50 miles, no chunks. If interested pm me!

Couldn’t decide on those or the new evolve gtr 97mm ones.
Went the new evolve gtr wheels that came today. Feel nice and soft compared to the old gtx stock 97mm wheels. When these chip or chunk I will get the abec 97mm 74a.

How have your abec’s hold up so far?

my stock 97mm wheels did 150-200 miles before bits fell off.

  5. I'm around 2,000 miles or so on them so far. Only one chunk out of the 4 but it was a bad catch on the edge with a piece of metal. Unavoidable....

Do a 100 mile clean with alcohol and drop come gorilla glue into the cracks it will keep them going for a good long while!

never thought of using glue on the cracks, good idea.

The uk roads seems to eat my wheels up fast, fingers crossed these last a while longer than my others
