Hi, I've been making batteries for gt boards for quite a while now with Samsung 30q 18650s.
I was wondering if there would be any interest for me to supply a kit to do your own. All the cells spot welded together, all the cable you need, heat shrink. All you would need to do is solder it all following one of the many online tutorials. This would be a cheaper way to get your battery upgraded. I'm guessing the kit would be about £250 delivered and maybe take most people a couple of hours to put together. What's everyone's thoughts on this idea? Thanks jamie

I would buy one if the price was reasonable

I think £250 is about right considering the cost of the cells and the time involved.

Would the battery pack come with the bms connector? If so, put me down for one.

I can't get hold of the bms connectors, you just use the one front your existing pack.

  10. Hi Jamiesnew,
I’ve got a GTX that I’d like a new battery for when out of warranty in Summer...
How many MAH would new battery have?
    Thanks

hello Jamie, I would be interested in a new gtx 18650 battery pack. Is this something you could make and supply? What sort of money you thinking to make a 18650 pack up?

Hi, it depends what size you want to fit, usually 10s4p which would be 12000mah. But I believe you can do 10s5p if you modified the enclosure, which would be 15000mah.

Hi mate, yes always up for a ride (weather pending) where abouts are you based?
I'm not looking to supply completed packs just a kit to easily make your own. The price for the kit would be about £250. As long as you can solder should only take a couple of hours to put together.

just off junction 25 m1, so between Nottingham and derby. Happy to travel if you know any nice spots. Got a few in Nottingham which make a good ride out
Would be up for the kit if it’s not too technical to put together.

  18. Hi,
    10s5p with Samsung 30q 18650’s sounds interesting...
£How much would it cost Jamiesnew?

10s5p would be about £280 but I would suggest you do some research about modding the enclosure. The other option is to use the 35e cells like the gtr. 10s4p would be 14000mah.

  20. Yeah 14000mah without modding enclosure sounds Best (£Price again?)
