For the remote, I reckon the guard would be good, and for the dome idea, imagine the dome went under the Tigger between the body of the remote and the trigger, like a plastic bread clip that stops the trigger from even moving imagine a trigger guard on a rifle, so you clip it in when putting in your pocket combined with the guard. I will sketch up an idea later, and show you a mock up when I receive my board

That's awesome, could I purchase a completed one from you? I went to get a quote for a 3d print of the original clip on file in office works in Melbourne and the price was ridiculous

Ok guys, The prints I have done so far have all been in PLA plastic which is easy to print in but not good for parts which are going to be used outside as they don't stand up to high temps. I will try an ABS print (LEGO plastic) today and see how I go. I will need to be really happy with the print quality before I'm willing to sell them. Also I'm not sure what the rules are on this forum about selling stuff, I will look that up.

How did you get the CAD file of the original remote?

I modelled it, it took the best part of a day, it's quite a complex shape.

I'd like one as well if you get to mass production!!! :))

Wow! That's quite a task. I though maybe you scanned the original remote base piece... Nice work!

    Thanks guys,
Last night I was able to complete a ABS print which I'm happy with, now I just need to experiment a bit to work out how best to "finish" the print to give it a nice look and feel.

"Mass" production is just one step away ;) Capture.JPG

Little update, I have just cleaned up the ABS print with my Dremel and then filled up all the tiny lines with putty. After letting the putty set I then sanded it back and preped it for painting. Should have a pretty much finished product by tomorrow.

First 2 pics are straight out of the printer after supports were removed, 2nd two are ready for painting. Screen Shot 2016-11-02 at 6.08.55 pm.JPG Screen Shot 2016-11-02 at 6.08.59 pm.JPG Screen Shot 2016-11-02 at 6.09.03 pm.JPG Screen Shot 2016-11-02 at 6.09.13 pm.JPG

Wow! Looking great! Filling the edges with putty and following up with a spray paint is a nice touch.

As mentioned in the other thread, I'm more than happy for you to list and sell these on the forum. Go for it
