LHB custom battery.

Just got my Bamboo GT back from @longhairedboy and WOW best money spent.Can not even tell from the board it is has been modified. Now I can fly past the golf carts in my neighborhood. I am 47yo and kids are so jealous. I am a big kid anyway.

I will most likely see if I can get a backup battery pack made just to have. Again thank you LHB....

I'm dropping everything at the moment in order to finish up my last three custom completes. Its the end of an era. That means i've been neglecting emails and forums and instagrams and facebooks in order to spend every possible moment finishing this **** up. Some of these customs were ordered in February and March, simply put they have priority over literally everything else except my day job which has become increasingly demanding as of late.

TBH, the best and quickest way to get an evolve mod done is to just buy the service and ship me the cells and board. Despite everything else happening, the evolve mods are what's keeping the lights on right now. Nobody is paying me to answer 50 questions about lipos and why can't i fit 60 cells in a bamboo, so the support box is just going to have to bulge a little longer until i can get to it. If you pay for a mod and the cells and board show up, you WILL get priority, it will be done and shipped backed out within 4 days.

I know some of you are like "but i have questions first". Believe me, i know. So here's just the answers assuming you go with the Samsung 30Q cells i typically tell people to get unless they have plans of their own:

• YES, i do have a day job. And small children. Yes it seems ludicrous, yes i manage to find the time somehow, no i don't sleep a lot, no i'm not rich, yes its just me doing all of this ****. The legends are true.
• Classic 7ah bamboo range increase is ginormous. You're going from 7ah to 12ah, so yeah. Miles and miles and miles and miles.
• Range increase on Carbon and Bamboo GTX with the 10Ah battery is also not negligible. You're adding another 2 amp hours. Expect more miles.
• Range increase in AT config is definitely not negligible, but not quite as much as in Street. Urethane is more efficient on asphalt and the ratio is slightly different, expect more miles out of it than out of pneumatic wheels. That goes for any battery pack.
• 40 cells maximum. 18650s only. We will not put more cells than that in there.
• Yes even your big ass can get the mod, so far no issues with 300 pound dudes that weren't already there.
• Yes if a cell group goes wildly out of balance and is obviously bad but the pack is still young, i will be happy to replace the offending cells, just send me four new cells and your board. the labor is free and the return shipping is covered.
• Voltage sag is drastically reduced, and performance across the last half of the charge is greatly improved.
• no you do not get the old cells back. I don't simply replace the pack, i cannabalise it for the mod.
• If the BMS fails, there is nothing i can do. Evolve won't let me buy them, so i can't replace them. Same for the ESC.
• At the moment i have no plans to offer a complete replacement of all internals with known good open source based parts. We do not replace the ESCs with VESCs, or replace the BMSs with something else, or use different remotes.
• No, we don't currently offer a deck replacement with one of my own hand crafted decks pressed and cut by moi. However, Evolve was kind enough to offer you an alarmingly similar concave to mine (its spooky, really), so you're practically there already. Great minds, i guess. Everyone lives a good partially cambered soft-dome w-cave after all.

If i can just get these customs done i'll have more time for email and socials, but in the mean time, if you want a mod just send it to me. They're keeping the bills paid.
