GTX belt issue on AT setup

    Hi Guys,

I have an issue with one of the belts in my GTX on AT setup - the belt is felling off from motor gear when going forward and felling off from wheel gear when going back. Please have a look on video below. Other side of the board is ok. As you can see there are two different belts (original and non original) but it has nothing to do as i needed to change the belt on faulty side just because of this problem, the belt fell off during the ride and tore itself.
Anyone has any idea whats the problem and how to fix it?

Just adjust your belt tension...watch the belt tension done by evolve tech's on youtube....

Thanks for your reply but its definately not the belt tension reason. I tried couple of configurations with no luck.

Most common causes for a belt coming off is misalignment or belt tension...with that said, in this scenario barring a bent axle or loose belt; the only other item left is the bearing in the drive gear, possibly cockeyed or worn out in the hub causing the drive gear and motor gear misalignment...I did notice more noise during your video indicating a worn bearing. Hope this helps, good luck!

Or your motor mount plate is bent

The motor mount is actually new and was never hit etc., the board was also not used too often last few months. I will probably buy new motor mount anyway and try to swap it.

    Thanks

Just lay it on a flat table to see if its bent.
    They bend easy (soft metal)

    Sie ma Hajsiu,

I had exactly the same problem up to the point when one of the belts cut through motor cover and slipped. The root cause was the fact that a gear on one of the motors was not fully parallel to a gear on the wheel. Very high tension on the belt as a default factory setup wasn't helping neither. I purchased belt replacement, loosen the tension and added flat washer under the furthest screw that you use to regulate the tension. Now both gears are parallel and it all works fine without a motor cover. Hope it helps.

    Pozdro,

    Lukasz
