    Hi All,

So my boards at 60 Cycles and cell 3 is a bit behind the rest any tips to get it to balance out?

I tried charging it over night already.

  2. i think this is perfectly normal,
as long as all ur cells after a complete charge show u over 4.0v per cell. u have nothing to worry about.

    Interesting good to know.

Sorry to disappointed you, but that could be the beginning of your problems.
If that cell continues to show weakness it can only get worth. Had similar issue.
See if that cell sags more than others while you riding (under continuous load). If it’s sagging, and you still have a warranty- claim it

    Got it!
I’m totally ok with that. Was planning on doing the battery upgrade anyways. Doing some research to see what’s the largest battery I can place that keeps the OEM look

40cells with room to spare. You’ll need to raise a lead by 2-3mm. Basically a couple of plastic washers and thicker foam on the lead...

Whats the amp draw on the motor?
The cells you listed have a 550ma discharge

Hi I’m not sure where I’ve listed cells with 550ma discharge?
I’ve been using Samsung 30q with 15a discharge rate in 10s4p configuration in 3 of my boards for over a year now. No problems!
I don’t think Evolve controller ever exceeds 60a
    I hope that helps

Evgin78 - Would you share the distance you are getting out of the 10s4p pack you have there? I have a stock replacement battery coming this week for my carbon and I am planning on upgrading the older pack with newer batteries. Also how is it you have room to spare when it seems others have to make adjustments to some of the circuit boards to make their packs fit properly? I would really like not move anything except the BMS which I will get from the old pack. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I’m not sure why other people need to move anything- 4p10s is shorter pack than standard battery. Maybe you are confusing with bamboo buildings- there you need to move bms in order to fit 4p configuration.
It’s taller, that is why I mentioned about spacers between a cover.
I’ve used Samsung 30q cells as well as Sony VTC6 in another build. I think Samsung is the best value.
You’ll get similar, maybe just under range of stock battery, but it won’t have as much voltage sag as stock and should last you at least 3 times longer.
    Hope that helps

But “Real” upgrade however is 7p10s or 8p10s
That when the voltage sag or range is no longer a thing. You just keep trigger full all the time and get tired quicker than battery ;)
I’ve done one placing extra battery on top- had to make a humb - between the legs lol
Or second project as a separate , remove able pack under belly in external enclosure (4p10s x 2)
I like it more- you can remove it anytime..

Evgin78 – Oh man that was more than helpful. You are correct most of the battery rebuilds I have been reading as research involve the bamboo so that makes sense. The modifications you have with the pan and the bump out at the top are sick. I am assuming those are two different boards but either way very nice work, you have really helped me with my planning. Thanks again, skate on and enjoy!

Thanks man! I’m glad to hear!
Yes, that was 2 different boards - double deck is mine and with the humb my brother’s in law- he sold it already though. Quit skateboarding all together..
If you need more info, just ask.
    Skate safe !

Thank you - I am getting all my pieces together for the spot welder this weekend and will work on putting that together. Then I will start practicing on smaller stuff. I am sure I will have a question here or there and really appreciate you allowing the future questions! Take care and talk with you in the future. ;-)
