evolve R2 remote reads ‘motor1&2 Err!’

my new evolve r2 remote syncs but wont power evolve Bamboo gt board, in preferences it reads ‘motor1&2 Err!. It happened last night after I took a small fall. Earlier remote, the one with screen and 2 buttons pairs and powers fine, both motors run fine. Anyone any idea why the R2 might be picking this up and not powering the board?

 

I had same problem. Not using R2 anymore. Back to R1

 

Hey PacoP, I went into see the guys at evolve uk. Fixed the R2 remote in 5 mins. I think it took a knock in the fall. Andy at evolve recalibrated the accel & brake curves and explained, the magnets probably got put out of alignment with knock, but recalibrate the magnets via the accel & brake curves re-sets this. I had the hardware upgrade and battery swap while I was there. I haven’t been out yet so can’t comment on the new accel throw movement, but had landed on my arse a couple of times when pulling away in GT mode with old settings, hence the change. I’ll let you know how I get on with the new settings. I do prefer the feel of the R2 over the preious remote, I had to use the R1 to get home and that put me on my butt as well. Maybe I’m just getting trigger happy....I made a video of Andy resetting the curves and will post it in a week or so. Look me up on YouTube ‘DougBlueSkies’ I’ve got another going up tonight.
