R2 remote stuck in SAFE mode. Can't change gears.

    Same problem here, im stuck in safe mode.

    I just got the GTX rode it three times. Ran awesome , i put it on the charger for 3hours, now its stuck in safe mode.
    The wheels wont move.

    Yeah :/ i sent my one back last week and they got it on Thursday and they haven't told me about anything that is going on.. I called them 2 days ago and they said they would get back to me yet i haven't even received an email :/ ....i just spent $2000 on something you think they would exchange me ASAP.

    Ok , i called them left a message.
    I will send mine back too. But i don't want to if i can fix it myself.

    EVOLVE GTX stuck in safe mode

    Yea, well if you want to try fix it yourself man just explain to them your problem and ask for a motor controller which you can replace fyourself and if that doesn't work just send it back to them

    ok I talked with them threw email and they want me to send it back. So im sending it back.

    But i did notice something when i was messing with the parameters.
    The Throttle setting wouldn't go lower than 11 no matter what I did. 20180214_170307.jpg

    Yes the Throttle wouldn't go below 11 for me either. I had the exact same thing.

    I completely disassembled and reassembled it and tried forcing it.
    I think it might have to be at 0 in order to get out of safe mode, but i don't know for sure.

    in that Youtube video someone posted earlier , I paused it and took a screenshot.
    he was able to get his to 0
    that's what makes me think this may be the problem.

    evolve told me to send them a picture of my parameters so they could have a tech look at it.

    Just send your board back bro. Get a fresh one

    same thing here,took it in they confirmed it’s the esc with the r2 not the r2 itself. they did a recal & test rode all’s good great service

    Same problems with my remote. Total ****!!
    Amd intermittent connection while moving. Its a horrible remote. They need to sort this out. Its to wide spread with the same issue's.

    When connected to board will display 11. When not connected to board will display 0.

    So... they did the return and fixed it.

    All it says is that they replaced
    -the motor controller (gen 3 dual motor controller).
    -remote (R2 remote).

    Maybe i should just cancel my R2 order and save myself $80 :idea:

    (Since I was suppose to get it last month and evolve said this month and it’s almost March and still no R2):confused:

    Yeah wait till bugs are sorted...I’ve had two & still am using old style remote

    Maybe there’s a reason it’s taking forever to receive my R2. Maybe Evolve is like recalling the R2s before it ships to customers now, hmm :rolleyes:

    Probably, I’m starting to think there’s a conflict in the board itself that stops it from pairing correctly with controller. Old controller no issues

    There is a list to get on for the new r2 remote. I’m guessing they are reworking the remote. I was told the new remotes won’t ship for a couple months.

    I’ve got to say, Evolve here in NZ have been great. After good communication with trying to sort issue I’ve just returned my second R2 remote for assessment. It’s really no big deal as I can still use board with old remote. The R2 when it worked was pretty smooth, so once they’ve sorted the issues I’m sure we’ll be carving & hooning better than ever!
