Evolve GTX Slow? Or am I just fat?

So recently just got my Evolve GTX. First ride I switched it to GT and tried to hit max speed. Now I weight 207ish LB. With all my gear I weight, 215-217. The max for the board is 220lb. And I'm only hitting 19 mph with AT tires on. Is this normal? Do I weight too much? Again I have the AT setup with the 175mm wheels and 66T gear. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks in advance.

 

Hi ajoseph54... the first thing that comes to my mind is tyre pressure, did u check it before your first ride?

Im 220lbs and i can get 19mph w 55psi in tires w at set up on gtx.
I can get 21mph w wind at back.

Also 55-60 psi in tires gives memore range... 10-13 miles in fast mode at 45 deg f.

 

Hi ajoseph54... I treated my 2 boys to a pair of bamboo GTX’s for Christmas.
Youngest son weighs in at 4stone and older son weighs 12stone.
The difference in board performance especially acceleration is huge, they swapped boards and it was still the same so not the board!
Also reckon my youngest could ride forever as he’s done 10miles in 1 go and battery doesn’t move! Weight is clearly everything

 

Options for adding range for us guys w more mass::: Lose wgt, and get the battery upgrade from lhb.... oh and go for taller wheel gears for more tq and slightly lower top speed.

 

I weigh 240 and in GT mode I’ve hit 20+... it’s scary on AT wheels going that fast. Trust me. How do I know? I went full pelt and wrecked when I looked down to see the stupid screen which read “21” then wobbles, run run run and smack on my face. Night in the ER.
