I've had my GT carbon for couple months now, and recently started making a clicking noise on one of the motors. I did the whole bearing things on the wheels, . and I found a thread, and like an idiot, I thought I could take it apart and fix the whole thing., .. and well, I was able to take apart the shell and shaft too. .., but, while trying to put it back in, sadly, ., the motherboard? - broke off, and most the wires are broken off of it too. - see attached pics. :(
Is there a way to fix it, or do I need a whole new replacement?

Sorry this happen. I dont know if it can be fixed but you can pic up a motor cheaper then buying it from evolved.

Evolve responded, and it looks like they may send me some sort of fix kit, or else, I will probably just end up sending it back to them.
Do you know if I could still ride it on 1 motor?
    Thanks,
    Aly

Hi, just going to add my 2 cents, Ive brought these exact motors from ali express, and they are the exact same, from understanding this is who evolve get their motors from. The motors themselves work great and I prefer them over the evolve ones as they have the updated bearings meaning that you shouldn't get the annoying clicking that most evolve motors get, you can also get the gears online (link below) they will just take a little longer to arrive as with these type of sites.

What actually is the cause of the clicking anyhow ? ..
and thanks for the info on the Racerstar. , - do I need to get a pair of them, or just one and still continue to use my existing Evolve one?

    thanks guys

The cause of the clicking noise from the motors is most likely the bearing, if the noise is coming from the motor itself. Some riders have also noted that if they've had the motor gear worn out it can cause a clicking noise. As you definitely need to replace the damaged Evolve motor, it would be wise to purchase a pair (+ two gears) & replace both at the same time. You will then be sure to have both motors performing exactly the same to avoid any issues with the motor controller. Another good reason to buy a pair of the (red) Racerstar motors, is that the internal construction has been reported on this forum to have had an upgrade to improve reliability.

yeah as I'm aware this was the reasoning for the red colour change, to signify this new internal design. I also agree with Stonefowslim, i purchased two motors at the same time and they worked flawlessly. Also wouldn't hurt to buy a few gears extra just to have on hand, I'm nowhere needing a replacement but would be good to have in case as banged and similar sites have longer shipping times.

How important is it to glue back the part where the wires are ? Since I don't own a glue gun., is there any other glue i could use ?

    thank you!

Are you meaning on the inside of the board (inside the battery/electronics compartment) where the wires come through from the motors? If so, this can also be done with a Silicon/bathroom type sealant.

Yes, the inside of board, where the motor wires come in.

OK, so a good silicon sealant will do the job. You should be able to get hold of it in smaller tubes with it's own nozzle, then you do not require a mastic gun/any tools to apply it.

Yes you can fit these motors to a Bamboo GT with no issues. Many riders have reported using them on their Evolve boards with very good results. You will just need to make sure to order two (red) gears from Banggood at the same time.
