    Hello All,

I hear there is a new firmware update for the GT remotes. If so is there a link where the update can be downloaded?

    Thank You, Gary

I think we have to mail our remotes back to evolve for the update.

I wonder if someone computer savy can rip the firmware off their remote and upload and we can update it ourselves.

Well I received a response from Evolve USA. Seems the only way to get the update is to send them the remote with a remote firmware update request form. As nice as it would be to do it myself I suppose I will just have to wait until I won’t be using the board for a couple few weeks.

Did anyone else receive an email from evolve a day or two ago with the form attached?

I got the email, here in New Zealand too, on Wednesday & emailed back to ask if the New remotes on the NZ website would have the New firmware. I wanted to know whether having two remotes (one with the New firmware & keeping my existing one as is) would pose any problems with my Carbon GT should I want to use one or the other. I was told that the Head Tech was away & actually in NZ at the time providing remote upgrade training, so have not been given a definitive answer on that as yet! My reason for wanting to have the option of both firmware's available is that for some rides I actually find it useful to have the current drop to eco knowing there is still more than plenty of juice left to get me back to where I need to be/where I have parked the car. Obviously, there would also be times where using a remote with the New firmware would not be an issue with the 5% eco drop so I could choose which remote to take based on the ride I have planned.

I'm planning on doing the same in case I dislike the new firmware.

I got my remote control updated with the new firmware on June 22, 2017.

I would like to share with you this video which shows my remote control does not work as I expected.

I contacted Evolve USA this morning to explain what's going on and see how we can fix it.

    h0ttz,

So if I read the last post correct Evolve is adjusting the firmware update so the "back to center" issue is fixed and shifting will be possible. I will wait to hear back from some brave beta ;-) testers that the issue is resolved before sending mine in. Hopefully that will be soon. Thanks for sharing.

    Take Care, Gary
