I just received mine and put on AT setup and now go about 40kmh on 7in tyres.

Easy to install and works smooth..

Nice, glad to see people are getting them. Was waiting to see reports from users before I got some myself.

Did you get the 23t or the 29t gear for the street setup? I purchased the 23t gear, I really like it so far!
The acceleration and braking is a lot smoother, the torque is effected yet it isnt too noticeable. I was wondering though, because there isnt a 23t gear option on the remote, is the speedometer on the remote now inaccurate? Im going to use my phone to check when I get a chance.

Your speed will be wrong with all these gears. I got 29 tooth for street, haven't had a go yet as i'm bit injured and been raining. Will report after riding.....Maybe bet 23t setup later, i'm running 97mm....

I got the 29t gear and just finally got around to putting them on. I am also running a set of 107mm flywheels. This setup REALLY smooths out the remote. It feels really similar to the boosted board, which was a pleasant surprise. I am coming off an injury so I was afraid to try and get a top speed, but it will be plenty fast obviously. I live on a 17% grade hill and it managed it ok, but not fast by any means. The motors were very hot and smelled a little burnt. I had never felt the motors previously to compare, but I noticed the smell in the garage and traced it back to the motors. I probably will not run this combination again, but I am also not sure how I'm going to get the 29t gear out as it was a very tight fit.

    Hi Mardjr,
Just joined the forum. Saw your comment in regards to removing the drive gears. Some wheels are a tight press fit like the Abec11's. To get the drive gear out you can knock them out with Evolves stock drive gear. Just insert the stock drive gear from the front of the wheel and knock a few times with a rubber mallet or on the garage floor. This will loosen the drive gear and it will pop right out.

Hope this helps you and others.
    Enjoy the ride.

Usually a better top speed comes at the expense of torque, acceleration and range,
and better torque, acceleration and range usually comes at the expense of top speed.

Is it not the same with playing with different drive gears? Nothing's for free. Get a little of something, lose a little of something else.

    Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has tried a Ultimate Carbon Fiber Electric Skateboard and if so how was it. i had seen one at other day and i just questioned getting one for a bit of fun. What impresses me, is a whopping 31 miles, making it possible to extend your electric skateboard journeys in a way never seen before. I saw one here
and have been doing alot of research which by far is the best site i have had satisfaction with upgrades and its swappable battery.

    Hello,

This is on old thread but it doesn't look like we ever got any feedback on 58T drive gear from board bumpers. How did they work out with the AT tires? Did it put extra strain on the motors or affect the range? If anyone else tried these please let me know. There isn't much info out there about this mod.

    Thanks.

I don't have the 58T, but I decided to go with the 8" A/T instead of the gears. IMO, the setup is so much better with minimal loss of Tq. My top speed on Fast/GT is 26 MPH and ECO at 18MPH.

Did you actually try out the 58T?

I installed the 58T drive gears a few weeks ago. You lose a little torque but gain 3-4 mph top speed. I don't know for sure what my top speed is though since the R2 remote doesn't have a setting for a 58T gear. I switched the settings on the remote to 200 mm wheels (8 inch) and it shows my top speed to be 24 mph. I use the mapmyride tracking app on my phone but it doesn't give me an accurate speed so for all I know I'm getting 26 mph too. It definitely feels faster either way.

When my 7 inch tires wear out I think I'm going to get the 8 inch wheels and try them out with the 58T gear. Sure I'll lose more torque but it will be freakin fast! If it sucks I'll just change back to the 66T drive gears.

I have not tried the 58T. My plan was to do both 58T and 8", but BB said it will put more strain on the motors and battery. So, I decided to just go with the 8", plus I'm not losing any range. I have to ride it on FAST mode, GT is just too Torquey for me lol. My phone GPS clocked 26MPH.

I'll report back once I try the 58T with 8 inch tires but it will be a few months. I didn't lose range with the 58T gear either. I think the biggest strain comes from not kick starting which I always do anyways.

Quick question - Did you buy the 8 inch MBS tires from Evolve? Are they balanced? I know you have to buy the 8 inch tubes too but did you have to do anything to the tires before installing them?

Let me know how it goes with the 58T combo. My next plan is to get the 200kV motors to break 26MPH with the 8" wheels only.

I bought both tires and tubes off Amazon since they are a lot cheaper (free shipping). They are not balanced, so I bought 5g tire weights off ebay. They are not perfectly balanced but it works w/o the wobble. No further modification after that.

Yea I don't get that. Weren't the 8 inch tires used on Evolve's previous AT board? Were customers told they would have to go buy tire weights elsewhere in order for their tires to be balanced? Why aren't they already balanced? Are the tires lopsided? I know you probably don't know but it just seems odd to me.

Which weights did you buy? The clips or the strips?

Anyone have a set they’re willing/trying to sell? Or trade for? Have a set of custom 54t gears (3D printed) to trade??
